Guys, not to nitpick, but the use of incorrect nomenclature is driving me, as an engineer, nuts!
Watts is a capitol W; named after James Watt kilo (thousand) is a lower case k, mega (million) is an upper case M (don't know why) hour is expressed as hr or just h kW, MW, etc. These are units of power kWhr, MWhr are units of energy (or kW-hr, MW-hr or kW-h, MW-h) as power over a time period Let's not let James Watt roll over in his grave as James watt! I know, I know - picky, picky. But the detail is important! Steve ps these posts otherwise are great |
Come on and post the power you made last month.
|
I made 1780 kWhrs last billing month, and banked 102 kWhrs.
Steve |
Thanks for posting your numbers but.
Say what size array you have and what month it was for. That is only way it is useful info. |
Billing period of March 24 - April 23 (30 days), 1780 kWhrs. 12.7 kW STC (48, 265 W panels).
For the month of April (30 days), 1710 kWhrs. Thanks for the reminder Pinball, Steve |
I love this time of year the other day 85,267 kWh made in one day.
1.04 MWh so far this month. |
12.5 kW array we generated 1,820 kWh May 2017 This is the lowest May we have had.
May 2017= 1,820 kWh May 2016= 1,922 kWh May 2015= 2,144 kWh May 2014= 2,076 kWh Highest one day May 2017 = 85.3kWhs We banked 745 kWh for the winter. I exported 24 months billing from my electric company. We have to pay the meter fee but they have to pay us wholesale for extra banked power once a year. We have paid them $108.50 for the last two years. This covers is all heating cooling my house and driving our about 35K EV miles in this 24 months. Other solar producers show us your numbers for May when you have them. |
My 4.4kW array
May 2017 = 649kWh May 2016 = 588kWh May 2015 = 632kWh May 2014 = 632kWh |
