There are a few different types of kick-stand,
so you might not be able to make a universal system for holding every bike stationary. But, it's not going to harm the bike to remove the kick-stand. A lot of bikes these days aren't sold with kick-stands. Many people have a bike hook in their garage, and park in public bike racks when they are out for a ride, so they can chain their bike to the rack. If they have to chain it to a tree or signpost, they don't need a kick-stand. |

:confused:Could you post something on the exact geneerator you used because when I look up a permenent magnetic blower motor very similiar motors come up but not that same. What type of car is it from? What's year?:confused:

Way back in the 70s I made a bike stand with a friction coupled generator that you could just set the bike in, climb on and peddle. I picked up a couple of identical used front forks at the bike shop, cut the tail off of the "Y" welded them to some angle iron with a spacer of a length related to the bike to be used between the front and rear forks, to stabilize the frame. The generator with the drive tire was fastened to the rear fork. The forks are upside down of course. All one had to do was drop the bike axles in the fork groves and you're ready.

I am trying to do this engineering design on my own. My only problem is...finding a suitable generator such as the one used in the video. I've been shopping for one and haven't had any luck. What is the name or serial number of the generator.What year is the generator. Who Makes it? Thanks!
