Default Nasty hvac service valves???

Hello and Merry Xmas to all you tinkerers!
Just had my small geo system vibrate a hole in the small line to the txv. Fixed the hole and in trying to pressure test it had trouble removing the schraeder valve in both the service valves.
They will unscrew but not come out and even a pull with needle noses won't do it!
Pix is attached - the valve body will also unscrew but it too seems held up from completely coming off.
Anyone with any experience on these??

Looks like adapters to me. Kind of like the things you use on an old vehicle to get r134a stuff to fit.
