Toxic gasses from CFLs? Is this out gassing of the plastic cover? Not to worry - it is the MERCURY!

More seriously, if you eat tuna fish (one 8 oz can) , you get more mercury than you would if you broke a CFL apart and somehow absorbed all the mercury.

If I can find CFLs at less than $1, I still buy them. Great for areas that don't have a lot of use, but where I can easily reach (replace) them when they die. Closets, a basement area, etc.

Lastly, how is the geothermal water heater holding up? We need an update!
