I think most of us know that a lot of the energy efficient home improvements can be taken even further advantage of come tax time. But, do we look past that? Often not. I don’t know about you, but looking up tax info when its not time to actually do taxes is pretty much on the bottom of my list. Even when I have to I don’t like doing it.
Thankfully, our friends at Trane have sent us some good information on how to take advantage of the tax credits that are available.
The one page tax summary gives a brief description of what the tax credit is, what Trane products qualify, and reasoning behind why the tax credit is available.
The tax credit FAQ is pretty obvious, it runs down a lot of common questions you might have about the credit.
Lastly, the tax credit step by step breaks down exactly how to get the credit into a step by step process making it very easy to follow along and do what is necessary.
So, even though this literature is largely Trane oriented, you can still use the references above to get tax credits for any qualifying energy saving home improvement. I highly suggest taking advantage of it. After all, you are already paying for it.
