Inhabitat’s Green Kitchen Guide

by Tim Fulton on November 6, 2008

Inhabitat has been running it’s green home 101 series for a while, and it’s chock full of good stuff. Recently, they moved to the kitchen and talked about some of the best ways to do a little ecorenovation to get your perfect green kitchen.

Here’s what the article hits on:

  • Energy efficiency
  • Cabinets
  • Countertops
  • Flooring
  • Finishes

If you interested in an introduction to any of these things, I highly suggest you check out the article, definitely worth the read. I was especially happy to see that they included cork flooring, which has been a personal favorite of mine for quite some time.

Hi Benjamin,
So nice that you’ve liked cork flooring for quite some time. Lots of folks don’t realize that cork graces the surfaces of anything other than bulletin boards and shoes! We blog about cork oak flooring everyday because we’re partial to it, and we’re really seeing interest in cork grow and grow…which is really great for industry and eco-system.
A sustainable and “green” choice, for sure.
Thanks again.
Cheers!
