Default Tech2 clone Tech2Win / GDS2

I saw on the Chevy Volt forum it comes with GDS and Tech2win software.
This one is for GM cars but they sell other tool that work with other car MFG.

You can buy a Tech2 clone but they are much more expensive.

I ordered USB one from Amazon.
VXDIAG VCX Nano GDS2 and Tech2Win Diagnostic Programming System for GM/Opel

It was $118.74 shipped so worth it. ( 5% off coupon)

It runs Tech2win for older cars like my son’s 96 Saturn SC2
This software has to run on a 32 bit computer.

It also runs GDS2 for newer cars. This software runs in a virtual PC included on DVD on a 64 bit machine.

I will be trying it on my Volt soon but others are using it on their Volts.

I was able to trouble shoot the 96 Saturn miss that you could not really feel and was not always throwing a code. A couple of bad injectors. Then I used it to do a crank sensor relearn.
Normally you need to take it to the dealer for this. It has already paid for its self.
