i used 10 ft of 1 1/4 pipe it turns at 50rpm, 25rpm was to slow. it will turn 200rpm max.
i drilled 3 holes to 80 ft then hit big rock. it has 5in 4 blade bit. 3 winches on it, one
is 2500lb 12vdc to lift the head,a hand crank as a safety for the head if the cable brakes
4500lb 12vdc to pull out the pipe. i have. $800 in it. had to mod it after each drill to make it better, will try to post pics 8-30-12 when i drill the next hole it is hyd chain drive
i made most of it out of junk i have.
