Welcome to the site Exow2. I moved your post into its own thread to get a bit more attention.

Keeping temperatures lower during the heating season (and higher in the cooling season) will definitely help lower energy usage. If possible, you might try turning it down more when you are not at home as this will reduce energy usage even further.

I would agree with RobertSmalls about mass production. If there is a need for a product, mass production can be quite useful in reducing cost and efficiently producing things.
