Maybe on average it was colder. But, maybe your observations of being warmer,
had to do with the day time peaks that occurred.?.
It looks like about 70% of the days had the temp reach or exceed the average highs.

We kinda saw the same thing. If the forecast said there was going to be a peak at
noontime, we hopped on the bikes at 11:30 AM and rode 7 miles and have a nice lunch.
We would come back home around 14:00, when the peak was really working for us!

Didn't need no stinking jackets for lunch rides!!
