Just scored another AC current detector/switch on Ebay.. $17.50 shipped.
Way better than $107.90 EA from the manufacturer. H735 - Veris Industries I really like these things!! ![]() (Support EcoRenovator.org & get rid of these annoying ads!) |

![]() This one has a neat feature the others don't have. It has a set of N.O. status output contacts. But, they need to be powered by 24vac or dc. Those contacts are used to signal sensor status (Main relay open or closed), and handle only signal level power. 100ma at 30v. I'm not sure that I'll even need that feature, but it might be good if I want to control two different devices that need to be isolated from each other. The main Relay Output is what I will be using. It can handle 5A at 250vac (1250w), or 3a at 30vdc 90w dc.. Once the sensor has AC current flowing inside it's built-in pickup coil, it's self powered. (It actually steals a small amount of power from the AC line). The Green LED will light up and stay on. The two clear LEDs on each side of the set-point pot will always show the relay's position. Open or Closed.. I love these little gadgets!! ![]() |

I spy a used 735 for $25 shipped!!
VERIS H735 CURRENT SENSOR/ RELAY HAWKEYE 735 | eBay My first two current sensors were used, and they worked just fine. $25 is not too bad a price.. If you have the application for it.. But, I'll bet you could find one for $15 if you keep an eye open for them.. (Support EcoRenovator.org & get rid of these annoying ads!) |
