Energy Ball Changes the Way We Look at Wind

by Benjamin Jones on September 7, 2008

A Swedish company called Home Energy has come up with a sweet, new idea to use the Venturi effect to build small, spherical wind turbines for residential energy production. The Energy Ball is not only more efficient, but it is also quieter and a little bit cooler to look at.

Using their innovative six blade design, Home Energy has created a windmill that can operate at very low wind speeds, making it more suitable for local residential or community use. Hopefully, this feature coupled with the general attractiveness and quietness of the design will interest some new people in wind power.
