The other day Hackaday, one of my favorite DIY blogs, posted about someone from built a panel from cells bought individually on ebay. It is definitely a bit of trouble compared to buying a complete panel, but because one can order pretty much any type of cell and make their own panel, it’s an interesting option for the hardcore DIYer.
You can check out the full DIY on Instructables, if you are so inclined. While this is definitely interesting, I don’t think I’ve got the skills to try it just yet. Has anyone put together their own solar panel in the past?
